San Diego International Airport is 30 miles from the hotel, and the smaller McClellan-Palomar Airport is 4 miles from the hotel.

San Diego International Airport

• Taxi or rideshare: Five taxi companies and four rideshare companies (Uber, Lyft, Wingz and PrimeTime) transport travelers to and from this airport. You can be dropped off curbside at either terminal or catch a ride at the Transportation Plaza that is accessible from both terminals and indicated with signage.
• Car rental: Free shuttle buses run continuously between the airport terminals and the Rental Car Center, which is located at 3355 Admiral Boland Way in San Diego.

McClellan Palomar Airport

• Taxi or rideshare: Passenger drop-off and pick-up are available directly in front of the terminal in the designated loading zone.
• Car rental: Cars can be rented from several companies with service desks in the terminal baggage claim area, and other providers have pickup and drop-off services at the airport. If this is part of your agreement, rentals can be returned by parking in the Rental Return Lot located off Ownes Avenue on the southeast end of the cul-de-sac directly next to Parking Zone 1.

Valet Parking: $68 per day

Self-Parking: $45 per day

Carlsbad has great weather nearly year round. January daytime temperatures are typically around 65°F, dropping to between 46°F to 51°F at night. Expect to still see surfers hitting the clean, rideable waves January is known for.

Suggested attire is business casual. Sweaters and jackets are recommended for evenings.

Your registration includes breakfasts on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and lunch on Tuesday.

On Wednesday, Golf Outing registrants will receive $40 in food vouchers to use on the course, and Carlsbad Village Food Tour registrants will dine at 4-6 venues.

Optional events on Tuesday and Wednesday include dinner: Women in Metal Construction Networking Dinner and the Awards Dinner. An extra fee applies for the Women in Metal Construction Networking dinner, and attendees must register in advance for both events.

Guests who register and pay the $250 guest fee can accompany their MCA registered meeting attendee to breakfast each day, attend the Welcome Reception on Tuesday night, and the Reception and Awards Dinner Wednesday night. Be sure to indicate on your registration the events your guest plans to attend.

You’re welcome to register to attend optional, separate-fee events like the Golf Outing and Carlsbad Village Food Tour; Additional fees will apply.

You can rent clubs onsite for $85 (includes two sleeves of Callaway golf balls) or ship your clubs using Ship Sticks.
