Johns Hopkins University Rec Center Gets Modern Makeover
This project completely transformed the Ralph S. O'Connor Recreation Center at Johns Hopkins University, breathing new life into its structure. Utilizing the sleek Quartz Zinc Material (ZCM) as the primary covering, the building now sports modern aesthetics, tastefully accented with Anthra Black material.
The focal points of this renovation are the angled canopy atop the main entrance and the intimate vestibule area. A striking feature above the canopy is the gradual wave of protruding fin panels surrounding the windows. Composed of gray (Quartz Zinc) and black (Anthra Zinc) materials, these fins enhance the building's visual appeal and serve as a captivating focal point, symbolizing the essence of its modernized addition.
